Holstein springing heifers sold mostly 1900-2300. Top 2425. Open heifers 1.50-1.80/lb. on a light test. Single birth Holstein heifer calves 200-360.

Feeder cattle sold strong on a well tested market. (7) blk strs 433 lbs @ 3.24. (42) blk strs 619 lbs @ 2.75. (6) red strs 669 lbs @ 2.61. (18) blk hfrs 566 lbs @ 2.52. (10) Angus x strs 579 lbs @ 2.30. (2) red strs 963 lbs @ 1.91. (12) Hol strs 725 @ 1.88.

Choice Hol strs 1.56-1.59. Top for the week 1.63. No test on beef fed cattle. Special colored fed cattle auction at Thorp March 4th!!

Beef cross bull and heifer calves 630-810. Holstein bull calves 400-650. Light weight and poor quality calves selling for less than quoted prices.

Market cows continue to sell very well. Over 50% of all cows selling over 1.00. Thin and light flesh cows 80-95 cwt. Top cows 2070 lb Hol @ 1.20 & 1894 @ 120.50.

Record run of hay and straw again this week and prices a little softer because of it. 3x4x8 western alfalfa 200-260. 3x3x8 alfalfa 100-140. 2nd & 3rd crop grass 75-120. 3x4x8 orchard grass 160. 1st crop rounds & squares grass 40-70. 3x4x8 wheat straw 80-95. All hay and straw is sold per bale.
