Springing heifers mostly 900- 1325. Open heifers 60- 90 cents per pound NT. Single birth Holstein heifer calves 25- 55 dollars per head.
We sold 8 Holstein breeding bulls mostly 800- 1200 per head. Top was a 915 lb, polled, red and white Firefox son $2000 Lamar Weaver, Unity. 880 lb Hercules son $1600 Colby. Market bulls 65- 76.
Choice Holstein steers and heifers mostly 93.50- 97.50. Holstein feeder steers 75- 95. Crossbreds up to 1.30. Holstein bull calves lower, mostly 20- 70 per head. Beef cross bull and heifer calves 180- 270.
20% of market cows sold 58- 63. 40% sold 53- 57.50.
Hay, straw, and firewood steady. Dairy quality baleage up to $90. Good grass mix rounds and squares 50- 65 per bale. Over mature first crop rounds 27.50- 30. Small squares grass/ Alfalfa mix 3- $5 per bale. Large round corn stalks up to $35. Bean stalks 15- 22.50. Feed grade Canadian wheat straw 3x3x8 $45, 3x4x8 $63. 2 spreader loads $80 each.
